This introductory course provides students with an understanding of the U.S. stock market and its terminology. You will learn what stocks are, how people invest in companies, and what makes stock prices go up and down. The course will also explain basic ideas about saving, investing, and how the stock market connects to everyday life. Students will explore how famous companies like Apple, Amazon, and Disney are traded on the stock market and practice reading simple stock charts and news stories. No math or finance experience is needed, just curiosity and a desire to learn something new about stocks and business in the United States.

Meeting Times:

  • Session 1: Friday 5pm-9pm EST 
  • Session 2: Saturday 9am-6pm EST 
  • Session 3: Sunday 9am-1pm EST
