Professional Sports in the US: An Interactive Experience

Whether you are a passionate sports fan, interested in learning about American sports or attending a professional baseball game, this course will provide you with an educational and interactive experience in and out of the classroom. The course is designed to further your knowledge of professional sports entertainment. This would include an interactive group study in the classroom highlighting an overview/history of the five major pro sports leagues (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLS), the impact of media, and engagement.

This course is designed for those who are intrigued about American sports traditions and entertainment. Each student will attend a Long Island Ducks Professional Baseball game to further their understanding of professional sports.

Meeting Times:

  • July 11, 2025: Friday 5pm-9pm EST
  • July 12, 2025: Saturday 9am-6pm EST (Long Island Duck's Game) 
  • July 13, 2025: Sunday 9am-1pm EST
