36 Hours or 72 Hours In-Person or Online Instructor: Brian Shields Social networks such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn have become popular platforms for brands and people to connect and communicate directly with one another. In business, these platforms are essential to selling products and services and reaching customers. Students will learn about various networks, apps, and marketing and branding techniques, to create a dynamic communications plan for digital platforms in the United States. Social Media for Business + 36 Hour Project (72 Hours Total) Further your knowledge of social media and earn 36 additional hours by completing this dynamic, self-paced corporate social media project featuring a company of your choice. Explore the company’s brand voice, analyze their social media content, ties to communication, and research their competitors. Students will create content calendars and provide recommendations on how the company can increase brand awareness and meaningful engagement. While working 1-on-1 with instructor, Brian Shields, you will also expand your ability to: Create Authentic Online Communities, Devise Creative Strategy, Create a Branded Slide Deck, Give a Presentation. This exciting project can be added to your resume and digital portfolio. Self-Paced Course Social networks like Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn have become platforms for brands to connect with their audiences. These platforms are an integral part of well-rounded communications campaigns. Students will learn about the various networks and apps available, how to leverage them effectively using best practices, and strategically integrate these platforms into an overall communications plan with appropriate listening and measurement metrics. While working 1-on-1 with instructor, Brian Shields, in this self-paced course, you will learn to: Manage a corporate social media presence, Engage your target audience, Understand how AI impacts content, community management, and crisis communications, Write and prepare appropriate content, Create your own personal brand, Plan content calendars to include paid, earned, and owned media, Utilize third-party web services to assist with the implementation of social media campaigns, Measure and analyze the effectiveness of a social media campaign, Incorporate social media initiatives into an overall communications campaign, Create a well-rounded social media marketing plan.
